      <image:title>What is Pilates?</image:title>
<image:caption>Based on 6 traditional principles (Breathing, Concentration, Flow, Precision, Control, and Center) Pilates is movement with purpose and intention. Focused on alignment and emphasizing an activated core, Pilates uses spring resistance to create movement challenges in a myriad of different body positions. It is a phenomenally versatile form of exercise, appropriate for bodies of all ages and sizes, flexible enough to accommodate and protect injuries and limitations, but challenging enough for the training of elite athletes. With specifically cued breathing patterns, Pilates takes clients through movement sequences which strengthen and stretch. Pilates is all about attention and, as such, it does a phenomenal job helping people increase body awareness, improve balance and stamina, and find new solutions to old problems.</image:caption>

<image:title>What is Pilates? - Carrie Goodnight received her Pilates certification from The Kane School of Core Integration in New York City . “The Kane School Teacher Training program is an academic approach to the study of the Pilates Method. The curriculum focuses on developing teachers that are equipped to work with healthy individuals as well as individuals with underlying compensations and orthopedic injuries in a safe and effective way. Through the intensive study of musculo-skeletal anatomy, biomechanics, injuries, movement pathologies and development of manual assessment skills, Kane School graduates have developed a reputation as some of the most qualified and sought after Pilates professionals in the field.</image:title>

<image:title>What is Pilates? - “Carrie is a dream of a Pilates instructor. She comes from a ballet background, which means she choreographs each lesson so they flow. In the 12 years I've taken twice-weekly lessons from her, no two have been alike. She makes exercising fun!”</image:title>
